Privacy notice
EWMS uses learner information only to administer this professional training programme, identify participants, record progress, assess submitted work, communicate course matters, issue approved completion certificates and maintain auditable training records.
Information collected
- Name, verified email, chosen username, participant category, organization, designation and optional telephone number.
- Lesson progress, numerical and multiple-choice results, assignments, capstone work, examination attempts, trainer feedback and certificate records.
- Essential security and service records needed to protect accounts, investigate errors and maintain the platform.
The website does not request or store a learner's ChatGPT password. Learners should never disclose passwords or verification codes to EWMS or a trainer.
Use and disclosure
Access is limited to authorized course administration and technical support. Personal learner information is not sold. Aggregated, de-identified course statistics may be used to improve training quality and report participation.
Learner requests
Learners may request access, correction or deletion of their profile by emailing environmentalwms@gmail.com. A deletion request may be limited where a record must be retained to verify an issued certificate, resolve a dispute or meet an applicable legal obligation.
Data-retention statement
| Record | Normal retention | Reason |
|---|---|---|
| Incomplete registration with no course activity | 12 months after last access | Account administration and reactivation |
| Progress, submissions, feedback and examination records | 5 years after last course activity | Quality assurance, appeals and training evidence |
| Issued certificate and verification record | Minimum 10 years | Public verification and fraud prevention |
| Security and diagnostic records | Up to 12 months | Reliability, abuse prevention and incident review |
Records are securely deleted or de-identified when the relevant period ends, unless a longer period is required by law, an active investigation, a dispute or a documented institutional requirement.
Terms of use
- Provide accurate registration information and use only your own learner account.
- Complete assessed work honestly. Copying another learner's answers, impersonation or manipulating progress records may lead to suspension or cancellation of results.
- Course calculations are training exercises. Field designs, procurement decisions, contract actions and infrastructure investments require project-specific data and competent professional review.
- Course material may be used for personal learning and authorized institutional training. It may not be republished, sold or presented as another provider's work without written permission.
- Access may be suspended to protect learners, records or platform security, or for serious misuse.
The course is provided for professional development. While reasonable quality controls are applied, EWMS does not warrant that every example is suitable for every site, contract or regulatory situation.
Institutional and certificate status
Unless and until separately confirmed through a written approval, this programme and its certificate must not be represented as an academic degree, diploma, statutory licence, professional accreditation or guaranteed SSWMB promotion/appointment credential.
SSWMB name, logo, Managing Director message and certificate presentation should be supported by a retained written authorization identifying the approved wording, approving authority, approval date, permitted logo use and certificate status. The course administrator is responsible for keeping that approval record current.
Trainer approval confirms completion of the programme's stated requirements. It does not replace regulatory approval, professional engineering responsibility or project-specific due diligence.
